The Haitian Image Awards Now Scheduled for 2008

Miami, FL - The “Haitian Image Awards” Inaugural is rescheduled for Saturday October 11, 2008. Noel and Cecibon Productions, Inc. is forced to allow more time for the planning of this unprecedented event. Though the public response has been tremendous, we must take in consideration “The availability of various dignitaries and VIP’s whose presence are fundamental to the Haitian Image Awards mission” said Rodney Noel, president of the record breaking team.

The Haitian Image Award (HIA) is to be a symbol of achievement that will promote higher levels of quality in all facets of Haitian culture. It will commemorate Haitian heritage as well as Haitian accomplishments, past and present.

Nominees will be announced during the summer of 2008 in film, music and various special categories. The Honor will be bestowed upon winners chosen through a combination of public vote and confirmation by Haitian Image Award’s Executive Board.

Awards will be presented in key categories such as: Art, History, Lifetime Achievement, Literature, Motion Picture, Music, and Performing Arts. Among special awards, the Executive Board will introduce the first inductee into The Haitian Image Hall of Fame.

The event will introduce never before seen footage of Haitian history, cutting floor clips of your favorite films, live performance by award winning artistes and music that defined generations.

Nominees, Honorees, Dignitaries, International Stars and Legends agree the event is too magnanimous to miss. According to Noel and Cecibon Productions’ Vice President, Jean Michel Cerenord nothing happens before time. “We prefer to wait a year than rush a gathering of this magnitude.”
